TurnTool, A Pioneer In Web 3D Economy

There has been some confusion about the TurnTool Year License pricing. Mainly about how it affects the files once the License runs out. Additionally there has been a general reluctance in the market to accept the Year License method of licensing software. This is unfortunate because we really want people to use it, not to worry about prices and licenses. As a consequence of this we have decided to drop the annual license fee completely. The "Year License" becomes a "Full License" in the traditional sense, i.e. permanent. Pay once for the software and nothing else. Updates are still free and files exported are not limited in any way.
To go along with this insane decision, we have lowered the price of TurnKeys considerably.

A new licensing method is also introduced, the "Production TurnKey" will allow the licensing of a single production, regardless of the number of files. Ideal for larger one shot productions.

Skovbo A/S Has Chosen TurnTool To Visualize Their Houses

When presenting architechture it can be difficult to reproduce the atmosphere and room proportions by using pictures or drawings alone. That is why Skovbo A/S has chosen to collaborate with TurnTool on visualizing their standard houses. Check out the beautiful scene featuring the house Benedikte. Skovbo house.
Feeling inspired? See how it is all made in the source max and html files, they're available for download as well. Skovbo sample files.

TurnTool Scripting System

We are proud to announce the TurnTool Scripting System. Give your scenes new life by making them truly interactive. Clickable objects controlling animations are now possible to implement using TurnTool's new simple scripting interface. Scripts are usually written in JavaScript in the html files in which the TurnTool objects are embedded. But in fact any container capable of scripting ActiveX controls can script TurnTool.
Example: The following command will play the animation of the object named "Teapot01" from frame 80 to 40 and then stop.

TNTDoCommand('SceneGraph.Objects(Teapot01).PlayAnimation(80,40,false)');

Check out the manual, and the plethora of examples using the scripting feature, to find out more about how it works.

TurnTool Introduces New Features:
  • Scripting! See the headline above.
  • Multi texturing. Combine diffuse and reflection texture maps to create the coolest glossy effects. Demo. Max example.
  • Automatic dynamic clipping planes. If you dont specify near and far clipping planes, TurnTool will use this new feature automatically.
  • Multiple render passes. Customize the order in which the objects in your scene are drawn.
It is always recommended to update to the newest version of the TurnToolBox. This is free, so it's time to hit those upgrade buttons folks.
Update TurnToolBox now. When installing the TurnToolBox, the TurnTool Viewer is updated as well.

The TurnTool features are all fully documented in the
TurnTool Manual .
