Christiania in 3D

Christiania is a small Freetown in Copenhagen. It is an abandoned military barrack, which was populated in 1971 by people from all sections of society, who came to create an alternative life based on communal living and freedom. Many of the people who began this experiment do not live there anymore, but the dream of a life lived in freedom and the idea of a city ruled by its inhabitants continues. The police have over the past 30 years made many attempts to remove people from the area, but have had to give up since the area was too big and there were too many people defending it. Now the Danish government have established a legalisation process for the area, resulting in massive media coverage and police activity leading to confrontations. TurnTool has made a visualisation of Christiania for the Danish citizens, displayed in online newspapers, containing different features like video-clips, maps and guided tours. You can see the visualisation by clicking the image above.

The Home concept.

TurnTool and Home have had yet another successful co-operation, visualising new homes in 3D for customers to visit online before purchasing. The customer can walk inside the 3D home using the keyboard and mouse. A new TurnTool feature is the option to freeze the 3D animation at any chosen place, and make a high-resolution print, which can then be used for instance in brochures. You can see the new projects by clicking the images above.
