TurnTool Solutions
BoligProjekt.dk Increases Advance Sales Before Beginning a Building Project
This new site is a showcase for real estate agencies and building contractors in cooperation between TurnTool ApS and the Danish real estate market.

By visualizing possible furnishing and navigation inside a building, house or flat, even before it is built, the advance sales increases. This gives a boost especially in advance sales of standard houses.
With the TurnTool Technology it is possible to walk around in a visualized house by using the arrow keys, and not just choose a guided tour. You can also see the entire floor plan from above. An important feature is the possibility to save high quality images of what you see on the screen, ready to be put in your sales papers.
So far the site is only available in Danish as BoligProjekt.dk primarily applies to the Danish market. But within measurable future, we want to launch the same idea in other countries as well. Feel free to contact us if you might be interested in cooperating with TurnTool.
Fjand Strand: Visualization of Standard Houses in a Summer Cottage Beach Area
We are very proud to present one of our latest showcase projects, which have been developed for BoligProjekt.dk:
It is possible to walk around in a visualized, not yet built summer cottage area at the beach in Fjand Strand. Once you are inside, it is possible to change material and color of tiles, flooring and cupboard fronts – and still keep the light and shadow effects.
HOWE: Never has A Virtual Show Room been Visualized Better!
A virtual showroom has greater potential than a real showroom – it does not require any real, expensive space and is available for customers all over the world at the same time.
HOWE, a Danish company that develops, produces and sells dynamic design furniture with international appeal, requested a virtual showroom to visualize the HOWE concept: multifunctional and space-saving furniture, easy to handle and rearrange.
HOWE asked for a high quality 3D solution – and got it!
“We needed a 3D universe - a virtual showroom - where it would be possible to walk around in several HOWE arrangements. TurnTool could obviously deliver what we needed, and it turned out to be a very good solution for HOWE, as TurnTool on top of our needs added interactivity possibilities,” says marketing manager Lars Bruntse from HOWE.
Aside from the user’s navigation by clicking the mouse or using the arrow keys,
the interactivity enables customers (in this case: sales people and architects) to change material and color of chairs and tables. It is even possible to choose between HOWE’s different designs in order to visualize several arrangement possibilities within few clicks on the mouse!
”The market has received the TurnTool Solution fantastically. It gives a genuine impression of HOWE’s concept and arrangement possibilities,” says Lars Bruntse, and he continues: “Our distinctive mark is high quality design solutions, so it was important to us that our virtual showroom didn’t look cheap - neither in design nor quality – which is a common problem for 3D visualizations in general. But the Turn Tool Solution matches our high standard in looks, which is why it is such a great success!”
Lars Bruntse, HOWE emphasizes that the virtual visualized showroom has reduced the need to send out demonstration models, and it targets the actual defining of their customers’ need. And he concludes:
“We benefit from our virtual showroom communication-wise. It is a big challenge to explain the HOWE concept in words and stills. This 3D visualization has made our point much clearer!”
Steelbook.com – Design, High Quality Media and TurnTool Features Meet
Click on the image below to see a TurnTool Solution launched by Steelbook.com. In order to make their new design a good showing, their customers cannot only see the Steelbook media packaging, but also add their own image files to see exactly how their next film, game or CD will look in Steelbook’s new high quality steel cover.
Steelbook is the result of cooperation between Glud & Marstrand A/S, Scandinavia’s largest manufacturer of metal packaging, and Scanavo a worldwide recognized manufacturer of DVD & CD packaging.
Customers have already given Steelbook a lot of good response as regards the clear visualization of their future releases and products. “The customers like the fact that they can actually see their product – turn it around and see the Steelbook from all angles – even long before releasing it,” says Mazyar Abolfazlian, industrial designer from Glud & Marstrand.
After adding their own image files to the system, our customers can immediately put their customized product for sale on a website.
”This system developed by TurnTool can easily be adapted to other products,” continues Mazyar Abolfazian. “It is obviously a good idea for the packaging industry to use a system like this, because the design of tins and packaging often repeats itself, and our customers need to get a concrete visualization of exactly how their product will look if they choose our packaging.”
A CAVI project: Bookcase Configurator – Do-It-Yourself Kit Instructions in 3D.
This is just one example of how any manufacturer could use TurnToolBox to visualize how to assemble a do-it-yourself kit. A great opportunity to heighten your customer service! At the same time it will save you some expenses because you need not spend time explaining complex details to hung-up customers.
See example.
This TurnTool solution is made by Jacob Brynitz for CAVI – Centre for Advanced Visualization and Interaction, University of Aarhus. www.cavi.dk
Jacob Brynitz, who then was a trainee, had just experienced the difficulties of a do-it-yourself kit, which inspired him to visualize the process in 3D by using what CAVI refers to as an “excellent TurnToolBox”.
TurnTool Technology
TurnToolBox now Supports AutoCAD Thanks to Pritzat Derech 5D
Pritzat Derech 5D, a cutting edge company in Israel has developed a TurnToolBox for AutoCAD, using the TurnToolBox SDK. The TurnToolBox for AutoCAD is directly integrated into AutoCAD, allowing users to export their work simply by pressing a button. We have made an agreement with Pritzat Derect that allows the company to resell the TurnToolBox for AutoCAD to any AutoCAD user with a need to display realtime 3D online.
If you are interested in developing a TurnToolBox for another program, you can do, as Pritzat Derech 5D, get the TurnToolBox SDK from our site. Get TurnToolBox SDK. After understanding the interfaces in the TurnToolBox SDK, Pritzat Derech 5D has put a lot of effort into analyzing the structure in AutoCAD and getting the geometry information needed to create a realtime 3D file. By using the TurnToolBox SDK you can develop TurnToolBox plugins for other 3D applications too – so just go ahead!
Coming License From TurnTool - The Enterprise License - A TurnTool Track With Endless Opportunities
TurnTool is about to launch a new license in which the TurnTool Technology gives you new possibilities such as configuration made entirely on a visual basis. It increases the user friendliness because the user does not need to understand the underlying technical details.
The elements of the 3D visualization are linked together with the rules that you or your company want the configuration to follow. After this the user can build up his or her own 3D visualization of the products or components of your company. Along with the configuration a complete parts list of the used components is automatically created with prices that can be transferred directly to your production process. This TurnTool Technology can be adapted to any kinds of industries, and is very useful to architects, interior designers and decorators too: They can visualize any possible decoration, once all the information has been embedded.
Actually the features in the Enterprise License is a TurnTool track with endless opportunities – the sky is the limit! With the Enterprise License the modeled changes are shown instantly in the visualization – what you see, is what you get! We are still working on the details - in the meanwhile, feel free to ask for a price as regards your specific demand, where the new features could be of any use, and we will develop a solution just for you.
TurnTool v2.70 Introduces New Features:
-
Many new and very useful scripting functions have been added: By using drag-and-drop the user is able to move 3D objects in the scene. It is also possible to measure distances in the TurnTool scene. See example
-
We have updated the TurnToolBox to support both 3ds max 7 and Autodesk Viz 5. So no worries for all upgrade fans out there, now you can upgrade with your mind at ease. You will still be able to use your favorite plugin from TurnTool.
-
The default html page generated by the TurnToolBox, has received a much needed facelift and the new html also allows automatic installation of the TurnTool Viewer plugin in the Mozilla Firefox browser.
-
LightMapping support has been added. Making it possible to put one layer of texture containing the diffuse texture map and second layer on top of the diffuse containing the illumination. The illumination layer can make the diffuse layer below both brighter and darker, giving you the chance of making both shadows and specular highlights. See example
-
Realtime Antialiasing: The antialiasing method has been improved, making it possible to perform antialiasing in realtime using hardware acceleration. TNT-files exported with the latest version of the TurnToolBox will perform 2x2 pixel full screen antialiasing in pure hardware. Rendering a scene with full screen antialiasing does require more computational power, but because everything is done in hardware, the speed decrease has in some cases been as low as 5 percent. With the latest version, everyone can enjoy crystal clear display of TurnTool scenes without waiting for the progressive antialiasing to begin.
-
Wavelet compression of alpha textures is now supported. Making TNT files smaller than ever.
